In May, we drove to Houston for Amasa's graduation. It was such a wonderful...except for the rain! Like any special day, it was crazy trying to get everyone in the car on time (Amasa's parents came with us). It didn't help that it was down- pouring and not letting up. Well, we got everyone into the car and realized that either Amasa or I had dropped his cords into a puddle (did I mention he graduated with honors!). They were drenched. Luckily they gave him a new set to wear when he got there. We are so proud of him!
Aelia fell asleep during the speaker (it was 2 hours of torture). Ok...maybe that is a slight exaggeration!

I'm SO late to this, but Congrats to Amasa! Steve graduated with his EMBA in May. I think we had the same experience you did. Just getting to campus was a nightmare, although it didn't start raining until we were in Hofheinz. The trip home was terrible. It probably didn't help that I was driving with Steve's parent and our kids in the car. It was a total DOWNPOUR and there was an accident on I-45 just after 610. Luckily we were routed on to 610 and I was able to take the very roundabout way home. Again--Congratulations to Amasa and your whole family!
